today was day one of src.
we played against compassvale and uhh. temasek sec. it was fun.
against compassvale, we scored three full innings. which was to score the max of 7 runs per inning. which was called a mercy. so basically. we scored three mercies. for the max score of 21.
so wei yang started to pitch as the sub pitcher. and he let in a walk. as in. he walked 4 guys till the first guy came home as a run. so the final score was 21-1. they arent that good. but their catcher can pitch =/ i respect that. and he's quite a good catcher too. but the rest of the fielders arent that good. i hit a hard grounder and the shortstop missed it. but then the outfielder didnt throw. i wasnt supposed to be safe =/ but i was. heh.
but still. three mercies. nice.
against temasek we only scored one mercy in the first inning. coach had this system. if we were to strike out, we would be taken out of the game and then had to buy two canned drinks for the entire team. we had 6 cans of drinks that day.
so the final score was 7-3. again it was let in by walks. they didnt really manage to hit much. the strikes were too nice and the balls were too wild. so it's either they get struck out. or they walk around the bases.
